Christmas in Mariposa

Julia is having such a fun time leading up to Christmas with her "Amma" and "Papa" and Uncle Jay. Here she is playing "Ha-pa Bells" (Jingle Bells) with Amma.

Oh Christmas Tree...

Ok, so it isn't as spectacular as my mom's tree (which is unparalleled), but I like it nonetheless. Isn't the "Little People" nativity so cute? Julia calls it playing with "Jeeshuh" (Jesus). Mostly she likes to push the button on top to make it light up and play "Away in a Manger," and play with the donkey and cart. BTW - a donkey says "haw-haw" according to Julia. :)

Yes, the poor angel on top is skewered off to the side... we intended to cut off the extra branches and center her, but we just never got around to it, and it has kind of grown on me... And no, the tree isn't crooked, but my picture taking ability just might be... :)

Ok... maybe it is a little crooked...

Family Photo Shoot

Last weekend we visited my parents in Mariposa and helped to decorate for the holidays. We wanted to take some family pictures, so Dad asked a friend to take these pictures of all of us - some turned out quite cute. Here are some of the highlights.

Well, here is the Bock Family's first official posting. Last night we all went to pick out the Christmas tree. I think Julia was more interested in all the hay on the ground than in the tree selection, but it was fun anyway, and we picked a 7 foot tree! We will decorate it tonight and post some pictures of its full glory later.
